My final week of teaching was busy, hectic, and bittersweet.
I am a shy person and I never expected I would end up teaching. It was challenging for me but have I learned that, just like all relationships, teaching is mostly listening to, caring about, and connecting to another person.
I know that you are technically a customer but, I have always considered you as a friend. I have met so many wonderful people over the last six years. It is hard and sad to say goodbye.
But, as always, life keeps moving. I am sad to end this chapter in my life but I am also excited to start the next chapter.
I will start my new job next month after golden week. The job will be very challenging and exciting. I get to use Japanese and computer programming every day. I can’t imagine any job i want to do more.
I will work full time so there will be many changes for my family as well. Caring for two young children and all of the logistical challenges just got an order of magnitude more difficult.
I am sure I will be very busy for the next few months until everything settles into a routine. However, after that happens I will hopefully have some time, perhaps on the weekends, to reconnect with all of you.
In the meantime, I will try to keep writing here in my blog. Feel free to reach out and contact me anytime.
Thank you for your years of support, memories, and friendship.
