I finally got my third Covid shot. I was so excited.
Perhaps you think I am strange because I was excited to get the COVID-19 shot.
Please don't misunderstand me. I don’t particularly like shots. Nor do I dislike them either. When I was a teenager, because of a medicine I was taking, I had to get my blood drawn every month. I think I got used to shots and IV's thanks to that.
The reason I was so excited to get the vaccination is because I wanted a fever. Crazy right! But, if I get a fever, I can lay in bed and do nothing. No housework, no kids. I wanted a vacation and a fever is the closest I get.
Last time I got the vaccination I got a fever of 38.35. I was really tired, my arm hurt like crazy, my body was stiff, and my joints hurt. I expected this time to be similar.
My shot was last Sunday and I was looking forward to it all week. I walked to the vaccination site and no more than 10 minutes later, I was done!
I went home and waited for my vacation. That two days ago.
The fever never came…
I felt quite tired but that is about it. No fever (36.9, not even close!), no arm pain (just a little sore), no joint pain.
I suppose I should be happy but, I am a bit disappointed. I guess I will have to be satisfied with the quick 30 minute nap I took.
