I have moved to Tokyo!
Many of you already know, but my wife was transferred to Tokyo for her work. I considered staying in Fukuoka with my kids while my wife went to Tokyo alone, but that would be too sad for her to be absent during our kids precious childhood. We decided to move together as a family.
We moved here about a week ago and it has been challenging. I’ve moved many times before, but this time was the hardest. Having kids makes everything 10 times harder. It is a balancing act trying to do many things at the same time: unpacking, watching the kids, preparing and cleaning up after meals, and creating a consistent schedule.
Even though it is hard, most of my worries have been resolved. My wife and I have been fortunate enough to find a decent apartment, a nursery for our daughters, and move here with only a few hurdles.
I am looking forward to the new opportunities waiting for me here in Tokyo. I am excited to start the next chapter in my journey.
