Lunch at work
I was surprised to learn that there is a cafeteria at my new job. The building has 21 floors of which my company uses only some (six I think?). There are many other companies with offices in this building.
The cafeteria serves everyone in the whole building so it is quite large. The kitchen, serving area and dining area sprawl over an entire floor. Even so, it is crowded during lunch.
When I eat at the cafeteria I am strongly reminded of the cafeterias when I was at Hiroshima University. Everyone lining up, the mediocre food, the big dining area… but mostly, the conveyor belt where you return your dirty trays.
By the way, my favorite dish so far has been the curry. Hard to mess it up I suppose.
